Hello all Racers,
Sorry for the late posting of information for the Abbotsford Round
#3 Canadian National Event / Can-Am Event July 26th & 27th at
Tradex, 1190 Cornell Street Abbotsford, BC V2T 6H5.
For those of you who have not had the pleasure of racing here previously,
check: www.fvtradex.com for full directions to the track. Google
Earth co-ordinates: 49deg.01’26.00, 122deg.23’00.00. Gearing is
generally the same as Quesnel.
Track set-up will take place on Friday night at 7pm. All welcome
to show up and give a hand. There will be registration Friday night
while track set up is going on and also on Saturday and Sunday morning
as required. For those who register on Friday night, practice starts
at 8:00am Saturday.
Camping at the track is available. Significant additional costs
for security etc. are a concern; we need to know numbers soonest.
Please contact Brian with your anticipated group size. There will
be clean, indoor, flushing bathrooms available on Saturday night
(possibly Friday night as well), as well as all day Sat. and Sun.
Anticipate an enjoyable (if slightly noisy) evening of festivities
on Sat. evening – Quiet camping is at the north end of the parking
lot.
There will be a lot of track time, and the track layout will be
a more flowing, faster track than in past years. The track will
be delineated by our traditional boards/pylons; as well we may use
flour and rubber… The track will be very similar to our last set-up
- clockwise – with enough flow for the 125gp bikes (which have been
tested on this lay-out), and enough technical sections for the pocket
bikes (which may run on a shortened track) which have also been
tested on this track.
The cost for the weekend of racing/camping is as follows: to start
$150.00 per person, with a family rate to be determined by the number
of entries for the weekend. We must cover out costs for the weekend
($$$), however if attendance is greater than anticipated, a partial
refund may occur on Sunday evening.
to download the weekend schedule – subject to change. First aid
is on site for the weekend as well. If you have any questions email
wmrc@shaw.ca or call Brian 604-835-9403.
Looking forward to a GREAT weekend of racing! See you there.
